KANSAS ST. OFFERS RODRIGUEZ

BRONX, NY – Monsignor Scanlan rising sophomore, Nasir "Mookie" Rodriguez has received a scholarship offer from Kansas State men's basketball, members of the Big 12 conference. The 6-foot-4 wing also holds scholarship offers from Robert Morris and George Mason University.

Rodriguez will be a key player for the Crusaders this season. Rodriguez has an "old school" approach to the game as a skilled player who can beat opponents to the basket consistently. At a recent showcase held at Scanlan HS, a visiting D1 coach stated that, "His (Rodriguez) ability to pull up from the perimeter as well as sink 3-pointers is what is drawing attention from myself, and I am sure several coaches as well. I am looking forward to watching him grow as a player for the next few years."
