Track Medals in Bronx Sectionals
On Wednesday, October 13th, Msgr. Scanlan High School Boy’s track team competed in the CHSAA Bronx & Sophomore Sectional Championship at the legendary Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
The following races were contested: 2.5 miles run for the sophomore and varsity athletes. Medals were given to the top 25 athletes overall and top 25 Bronx runners not in the top 25 overall as well as trophies to the top Bronx finisher and team in each race.
Crusaders had two Boys in the Bronx Sophomore Race and three in the Bronx Sectional Varsity Race. We were blessed with three medals, Kyle Matthews, Ethan Lithgow and Alan Peralta. More important, we had four out the five Boys break their PR (personal record)! Dontae Lindo PRed by 16 seconds, Zion PRed by 2:01 minutes, Kyle PRed by 55 seconds, and Alan Pred by 1:21 minutes.
